The ship formerly known as Costa Venezia was handed over to Carnival in 2022 to be refurbished and released as Carnival Venezia. We recently got the chance to take a voyage on the new Venezia and we have a few recommendations for anyone planning to do the same. Afterall, with so many options for entertainment, dining, and relaxation, it can be daunting to decide what things to check out first. Bonsai Sushi Delights
If there is one restaurant experience on Carnival Venezia that you don’t want to miss, it’s Bonsai Sushi Delight. This laid-back Japanese establishment was a favorite of ours thanks to both its relaxed setting, as well as the swift service that kept up from having to compromise our cruise adventures. The expertly crafted sushi rolls are definitely a stand out, but there were so many other delectable dishes offered that we found ourselves coming back again and again to try them all. There are plenty of great restaurants to try during a Carnival Venezia cruise, but none are quite as special as Bonsai Sushi Delights!
Punchliner Comedy Club
The Punchliner Comedy Club is a long-time staple of Carnival cruise ships, so it is not surprising to see it on Carnival Venezia. Here you can revel in the comedic brilliance of multiple onboard comedians who will brighten up your evening with the sound of uproarious laughter and the comfort of an inclusive environment. During our own Carnival Venezia cruise, the line-up included a diverse range of comedic styles that would appeal to a broad audience, ensuring that everyone was included in the fun. Even better, there is no pesky cover charge or two-drink minimum to attend a show. While some shows are family-friendly, others are not, so be sure to check ahead of time before bringing your kids!
Deal Or No Deal Game Show
One of our favorite activities during our Carnival Venezia cruise was when we got the chance to play the Deal or No Deal Game Show. This is a thrilling and engaging experience where you get to play with other audience members, increasing the stakes and sense of comradery with your fellow passengers while also getting the chance to win real money (which we did!). If you are the type of person who tends to yell at game show contestants while watching them on TV, then this is the perfect activity for you! Even if you aren’t a fan of game shows, this is still one of the most fun activities available on Carnival Venezia, and you won’t want to miss out.
Cloud 9 Spa Retreat
The spa onboard Carnival Venezia is called Cloud 9, and it is a very well-deserved name. The spa has a large variety of treatments, services, and facilities to offer, from the spacious sauna and hot tub, to the diverse massage and cleanse menu. The spa is a little bit tucked away however, making it a little underappreciated, but that just means that you are more likely to be able to get it all to yourself. During your own Carnival Venezia cruise, we suggest you get to the spa before anyone else does so that you can enjoy this hidden gem before everyone else figures out what they are missing!
Serenity Deck – A Haven for Adults
The last of our must-do recommendations onboard Carnival Venezia is the adults-only Serenity Deck. While there are plenty of fun and exciting things to do on the rest of the ship, no cruise vacation would be complete without some much-needed peace and relaxation so you can rest up between activities. The Serenity Deck provides just that, with cocktail services, places to lay out in the sun, and absolutely no kids to distract you. Spend a few hours here, and you may be tempted to stay for the remainder of your cruise!
