The brand-new Disney Wish from Disney Cruise Line made its inaugural sailing in July of 2022. We experienced this ship firsthand and are so excited to share with you all of the magic on board. From luxurious staterooms to endless entertainment the Disney Wish offers an onboard experience the whole family will love – a wish come true!

The Disney Wish is the first new ship to be released by Disney Cruise Line in 10 years. It is in the Triton class with two more ships being released in 2024 and 2025. This new class of ships offers innovative experiences at sea like cruisers have never seen before. Read on to learn more about our top five favorite things to experience on board!

The Magically Themed Dinners

For the first time in forever the world’s first Frozen themed restaurant, Arendelle, is on board the Disney Wish. Celebrate the engagement of Queen Anna and Kristoff while dining the night away tasting world class cuisines with Nordic influences. The dinner show includes performances from Elsa and Olaf – a fun for the whole family experience.

Immerse yourself into a cinematic dining experience with Ant-Man and Wasp at Worlds of Marvel. Become a superhero yourself and take part in a hands-on experience by shrinking and growing objects at the push of a button from your table. The action-packed Avengers mission will unfold around you as you enjoy a diverse menu inspired by the Marvel Universe. Taste an assortment of flavors ranging from American to African fare.

Elevated Adult Escapes Onboard the Disney Wish

Adult only spaces have been reimagined on the Disney Wish. While any Disney product is created with families in mind, the Disney Wish has taken adults only spaces to a new level with more areas dedicated to adults than any other Disney Cruise Line ship.

Deck 3 offers three adults only lounges. The plus to this location? It is located right near the Oceaneer Club so you can drop your kids off and the whole family can enjoy age-appropriate fun! The first lounge, The Bayou, is inspired by The Princess and the Frog and is one of the largest on the Disney Wish. Enjoy one of Tiana’s famous beignets and sip cocktails while enjoying live music in this Louisiana-inspired lounge. Next, hop on over to Nightingale’s and enjoy specialty cocktails, fine wine and champagne while listening to melodies from the piano. Last, our favorite lounge was the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. You’ll need a reservation for this one to taste galactic concoctions with locals from the Republic, Empire and First Order. In addition to the lounges on deck 3, you’ll find a variety of themed bars and lounges throughout the ship. We also recommend checking out the hidden bourbon bar at Hook’s Barbery where you can enjoy a hand-crafted bourbon Old Fashioned (with no appointment to the barber necessary!)

Looking for some relaxation? Head over to the Senses Spa or the Quiet Cove. The Quiet Cove offers and infinity pool overlooking the back of the ship, a lounge and a coffee shop. In the mood for some food? The Disney Wish offers two adults-only dining locations, Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté. Both restaurants are themed after Beauty and the Beast. Reservations are required and there is an additional charge to dine at these venues.

Disney’s “Pixie-Dust” Service

Dreams come true when cast members provide “pixie dust” service to guests. While on board the Disney Wish cast members and “mousekeeping” went above and beyond! This service really enhances the experience and makes each guest feel special with some extra magic. We received additional chocolates in our room at night, had special meals and desserts made to accommodate food allergies, and had happy birthday sung to us. The “pixie-dust” experience is truly priceless and unlike any service you will receive elsewhere.

Endless Food Options

The Disney Wish excels in food options and venues. Everywhere you turn there are delicious bites and treats. A few of our favorites included the Marceline Market, where you can get a famous Mickey shaped waffle, and the BBQ stands. Don’t forget all you can eat soft serve ice cream too, a cruise favorite! Not only are there tons of food options but the variety of tastes and flavors from around the world are endless.

Disney Wish Immersive Experiences

The immersive experiences on the Disney Wish are next level! The AquaMouse is a new feature on Disney Cruise Line. This 760-foot water coaster takes you all the way around the upper decks of the ship and provides breathtaking views of the ocean beneath you. Be sure to ride the AquaMouse more than one day of your cruise as the animated journey at the beginning of the ride changes.

Slide on in (literally) to a world of superheroes, princesses, and your favorite Disney friends. The best way to reach the Oceaneer Club for kids on the Disney Wish is down a slide of course! Kids ages 3-12 can visit Marvel Superhero Academy, Star Wars: Cargo Bay, Fairytale Hall, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab, and Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck at the Oceaneer Club. There is so much to see and do, your kids will love spending time with the Disney-trained counselors. You may even be a bit jealous of all the fun they will be having!
